Our mission is to make employee ownership more visible and accessible for organizations, owners, investors and employees. You are:
We’re looking for an energetic individual to work with as an integral part of our marketing team. You will be responsible for various tasks as part of our marketing activities. Ideally you will come from a Business or Technology background with a strong understanding of marketing, communications, PR or similar. You will be self-sufficient, a self-starter, detailed-orientated and curious about marketing, technology and customers. As a start-up, the range of tasks will be extensive and every day could be a different challenge, so you will need to be willing to get in and get your hands dirty. You will be involved in all aspects of the marketing mix from events to competitive analysis to social, to content creation to design, to PR and community engagement. Obviously, there will be admin tasks, database and the usual tools, backend and operational functions that come with marketing and a small team.
We are looking for people who are naturally curious, who are willing to learn and want to apply their marketing knowledge in real-world situations. You’ll need to be an effective and structured communicator (verbally and written) and a transparent team player.
You’ll have a unique opportunity to join a start-up and learn the best practices from a team that has a unique background from the corporate and start up world from multiple geographics and industries.
What You Will Do
- Work with the marketing team to deliver on the marketing plan
- Perform research projects, competitive analysis, and present findings in presentations and reports
- Create marketing content – video, images, blogs, white papers etc to support marketing activities
- Ensure all marketing activities have appropriate measurements and a way to measure them
- Manage the customer databases
- Develop marketing campaigns, newsletters and other marketing outreach, lead-generation and activities
- Support marketing campaign planning and execution.
- Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
- Assist in the management of website updates, SEO activities and customer outreach
- Ownership of community activities
- Take part in formal and informal customer events
- Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives.
- Other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduated from an accredited university in Hong Kong with a Business degree, BSc or other STEM related degree
- In-depth knowledge and other studies or experience in marketing, communications, PR with applied understanding of basic marketing principles
- Strong work ethic, curiosity, positive attitude and drive
- Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ideally exposure or experience in Canva, Hubspot (or similar), Google analytics, Wordpress or other marketing tools
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and content creation (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
- Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of SEO techniques and best practices
- Basic photography, image and video editing, and graphic design skills
