Talking to learners of different ages, we realized that the reason why there isn’t a leading online education platform today is that videos all over the internet lack engagement. Learners get distracted or lost motivation along the journey. Launched in 2020 January, Kosmic is building a live-streaming platform for content producers all around the world to provide addictive educational videos, starting with high-school students in Hong Kong and soon London.
Kosmic is an engineering company working on next-generation solutions for education so everyone can enjoy access to engaging educational content. Operations Manager in Kosmic work in direct partnership with Chief Executive Officer, the leadership and go-to-market team to tackle all areas of a growing startup, and support maximum efficiency of operations in the operating markets. You will navigate and partner with cross-functional executive-level stakeholders, maintaining relationships to enable leadership success. You’ll have a bias to action, being able to drive projects and initiatives forward in a structured manner, and you'll also be our trusted partner, and the “go-to” person for developing strategic ideas and problem-solving in a role akin to a Chief of Staff. Operations Team in Kosmic ensures Kosmic's day-to-day operations and growth strategies get executed flawlessly, and are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense and focus on how to get things done.
Responsibilities:
1. Assume leadership and day-to-day responsibility for key projects as determined by the Chief Executive Officer.
2. Develop, implement and own Operational Strategy alongside the leadership to ensure a seamless daily operation.
3. Manage individual project priorities and deadlines.
4. Serve as an advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and leadership.
5. Help building a core team and organizing team-building exercises, internal communications framework, and making the team more efficient.
6. Amplify the efforts of our executive team and help implementing solutions on top operational challenges.
Qualifications
1. Demonstrated ability to lead complex operational and strategic initiatives as a project manager, or prior experience as a Chief of Staff in a startup company.
2. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.
3. A tolerance for ambiguity and ability to work in fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach.
4. Extensive analytical and problem solving skills and business acumen.
5. Excellent communication skills in written English.
6. Experience working in the Consumer Technology industry or a high-paced, rapid growth environment.
