Key responsibilities
● Oversee the IT division to ensure stable systems performance on Open Banking system
● Lead the local infrastructure, application development and support teams as well as offshore shared services team
● Setting strategic planning with the team to accomplish the goals and targets
● Providing insight on Fintech and Artificial intelligence
● Explore machine learning methods for portfolio construction and risk management
● Perform NLP research on transaction classification for predictive modeling
● Responsible for data pre-processing, model training, hyperparameter tuning, performance evaluation and deployment
● Write automation scripts for internal processes and open-source data scraping
● Demonstrate interest in learning about the fintech ecosystem and various stakeholders involved
● Write defensive production-grade code with emphasis on readability, modularity, and reusability
● Act as head of projects to liaise with clients on gathering requirement, defining project plans and resource management and keeping track on delivery progress to ensure successful project deployment
● Work closely with Managing Director and participate in senior management meetings to identify opportunities for IT department to aid business achieving objectives
● Research on latest technologies, review existing IT structure and point out areas of improvement
● Prepare and control annual budgeting on IT department
● Provide mentorship to team members and setup a platform environment to nurture organic growth
Job requirements
● Graduated from Local university, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Information Technology or other tech related subjects
● Strong understanding of different machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks)
● Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, time series analysis, statistical tests.)
● Experience with Python libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, selenium etc.) for data processing and process automation
● Proficiency with a deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or Keras
● Experience with database management systems like MySQL
● Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, databases
● Ability to document and present research in a methodological manner
● Self-driven candidate that can take responsibility and work independently whilst collaborating with others
● Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development and research

Good to have:
● Familiarity with fundamental portfolio management concepts like MPT, CAPM and basic risk metrics
