Summary of the Position
We are seeking a talented and passionate Operations Program Manager to support our rapidly growing team. Our products enable our customer companies to eliminate the need for diesel and drive the transition toward fully electrified industrial sites and applications. Our supply chain is complex and involves elements of electronics, power electronics, high power systems, steel enclosures, and compliance all the way from the design stage to production deployment. AMPD is a fast-growing company, and so this role has a wide scope and there is lots of room to develop and learn.
You should be motivated, reliable, thorough, and excited about being among the first in the world to work with game-changing products. You will be expected to be able to operate independently and be a clear, candid, and effective communicator in both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor’s degree (or higher), preferably in Project Management, Business, or an Engineering field.
● At least 2 years in a product development team environment.
● Demonstrated examples on how you used your creativity and discipline to plan and execute a project.
● Outstanding people skills with the ability to communicate clearly, motivate peers, work collaboratively and form trusting relationships.
● Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
● Experience managing external suppliers.
● A passion for improving our environment.
● Permitted to work in Hong Kong.
● Candidates with more experience will be considered as Operations Program Manager.
Responsibilities
● Drive and manage suppliers to support AMPD’s production and product development. Accountable for maintaining accurate status on supplier progress, escalating issues promptly when needed, and for pushing suppliers for results.
● Interface with all the stakeholders, inside and outside the organization to ensure requirements and status are communicated clearly and accurately.
● Maintain action lists for all key suppliers and ensure suppliers follow up, create schedules and support deployment of engineering changes in production. Create periodic detailed status reports and program summaries for management.
● Track and prioritise issues and work collaboratively and creatively to find solutions to ensure suppliers and internal teams. Promptly report significant deviations from the plan, and drive for the best possible resolution.
● Assist developing and documenting AMPD processes for supply chain management.
● Prepare periodic Business Reviews with suppliers to review supplier performance and communicate AMPD’s future plans.
● Adhere to the company’s phase gate program development process.
