Summary of the Position
Ampd Energy has grown by leaps and bounds over the past 24 months, and is now seeking a CFO to be a strategic partner in furthering the growth of the business. The role is broad and will be 70% external facing and 30% internal facing. You will be responsible for: establishing and building relationships with debt and equity investors; raising capital alongside the company's leadership; reporting to the company's board; developing and owning FP&A processes; and managing the company's accounting team. We are looking for individuals with a strong accounting & finance background and who have a proven track record of making deals happen.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
· At least 3 years at a Director of Finance (or higher) role in a high-growth company that is expanding across multiple geographies and time zones, including direct experience interacting with boards.
· Extensive external networks, especially with debt market participants, that can be leveraged to help finance the continued growth of the company, to build the company’s internal teams and to keep a pulse of the industry dynamics.
· Demonstrable track record of structuring and marketing debt instruments to investors and seeing transactions through to completion.
· Strong FP&A experience and demonstrated expertise in understanding and analysis of subscription, or recurring-revenue business models; and in developing and implementing suitable metrics for a business. Capable of exercising judgement and discretion on what metrics, systems and processes are to be implemented at different stages of growth of the company.
· Excellent analytical, decision-making, investigative and problem-solving skills; able to streamline, cut through noise and distil out the key issues on complex matters.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to hold your ground against extremely intelligent individuals with strong personalities.
· Degree from a top undergraduate institution; MBA, CFA, and/or CPA is a plus.
Responsibilities
· Take ownership of the company’s capital structure and balance sheet, including priorities, capital allocation, liquidity management and financing. Maintain and enhance our cashflow model and projections.
· Be the primary contact point between the company and debt capital markets participants; you will be expected structure financial products which maximises the pool of available capital, to finance the company’s growth and market such financial products in collaboration with the company’s CEO.
· Lead the company's FP&A processes; able to work closely with leadership across different organisation functions to on long-term, strategic planning and the development of the overall financial model.
· Implement best practices, benchmarking, and frameworks for driving growth at scale and across geographies; identify bottlenecks holding back the company’s growth and proactively work to eliminate such bottlenecks.
· Have a voice and bring a financial perspective backed by data and analysis on strategic matters, among the leadership team of the company.
· Build a lean, high-performing accounting and finance team who will all report to you, on top of the existing accounting team.
