Accounting Officer
Summary of the Position
We are seeking a talented and passionate Accounting Officer to support the accounting needs of our business. Our products enable construction companies to eliminate diesel and drive the transition toward fully electrified construction sites. To ensure we can make this happen we need a robust accounting and finance function which is well managed today and set up for future development. We are in a growth stage so are looking for a dynamic, talented individual who will be integral in ramping up our accounting and finance function. Being a small, fast-moving team, this role will have a wide scope and there is a lot of room to develop and learn.
You should be motivated, reliable, thorough, and excited about being among the first in the world to work with game- changing products. You will be expected to operate with a degree of autonomy and be a clear, candid, and effective communicator in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Accounting/Finance or related disciplines with at least 2 years’ accounting/audit experience.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and ERP system exposure is preferred, particularly NetSuite.
- Native Cantonese with a good command of written and spoken English and strong communication skills.
- Able to work well with business counterparts, eager to learn new knowledge and strive for excellence.
- Self-motivated, independent and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly financial close with revenue and cost accurately recorded.
- Support the Procure-to-Pay process by effectively managing inventory and accounts payable.
- Handle expense claims, petty cash and banking activities.
- Complete ad hoc reports, analysis and reconciliation on schedule.
- Coordinate for audit and tax reporting.
