Here’s what you’ll be jumping into - creating solutions for connecting teens who are struggling to adults ready to offer care and support.
Some might call this role “translation”.
But we don’t think that does justice to the experience you’ll gain, or capture the impact that a job well done will have on youth in Hong Kong.
Our goal is not just to translate English into Cantonese, but instead, communicate the spirit and intent in a way which would feel so natural for the teens who are reading it.
This role is best suited for, or to be more precise, only suited for someone who cares deeply and is dedicated to seeing positive change in the mental health landscape.
Your contributions will be seen by thousands of teens across Hong Kong.
We are an international team, led by Dr. Jamie Chiu. She is dedicated to serving the youth of Hong Kong, however she is the only Cantonese speaking person on our team. This presents a bottleneck in delivering the best we can for local teens. You’ll be supporting Jamie in creating Cantonese content.
What we hope you’ll gain from working with us:
- Hands-on experience contributing to many areas in a startup (product, sales, marketing)
- Development of your critical thought and subtle thinking skills
- A solid reference to use for your future career growth
- Iterative thinking and working approach
Requirements:
- Impeccable written and spoken Cantonese and English
- Comfortable using both colloquial and formal business language
- Reliable with time and commitments
