The role
We are looking for an exceptional and strategic individual to be part of our Hong Kong Operations team. You will be spearheading innovations in retail wealth management operations. This is a critical role which will determine we can offer a hassle free customer experience unlike any other investment platform. You will have the opportunity to work with a world-class technology team to implement cutting-edge solutions.
Key responsibilities
Client Onboarding (KYC/AML)
- Conduct due diligence on new and existing clients while reviewing client documentation. Escalate and document potential KYC issues while working closely with the compliance team
- Implement the appropriate AML policies and procedures in close cooperation with the compliance team
Investment Operations (Trade Processing and Reconciliation)
- Assist to build and implement end to end operational flows
- Drive daily customer-focused operations, including reviewing and processing account transactions include payments and receipts
- Perform operations tasks including, but not limited, trade monitoring and review, solve complex trade process and flow problem; daily/weekly trades position reconciliation and regulatory filings
- Familiar with reconciliation process including cash and post trade reconciliation
- Troubleshoot operational problems, suggest improvements to operational processes and ways to make servicing customer requests more efficient and scalable
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience team on operational topics
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency for transaction verification on timely basis
- Perform ad-hoc assignments, UAT and projects if necessary
Relationship Management with service providers
- Point of Contact with service providers like Prime Brokerage, Custodian Bank for example
- Manage the funding with brokers/custodians for all investment products including trade settlement and coupon/dividend
Must have
- At least 3 years of experience at a bank/asset management/financial institution in operations and client onboarding.
- Hands on experience in account opening, document verification, KYC review and AML operations
- Must be able to to implement Ops process with Compliance that is in line with regulatory requirements
- Fluency in English and Cantonese (fluency in Mandarin is preferred but not required)
