Passion

We craft sustainable sneakers with a cause. We use environmentally friendly materials such as upcycled leather (from leather scraps), recycled plastics, natural rubber and naturally sustainable materials like cork to have the lowest environmental impact possible, whilst offering quality you would expect from a premium sneaker.

At Lacess, we are also dedicated to donate a portion of our proceeds to our supported NGO, Compassion First, to fight against human trafficking.

Our sneakers are designed by women, for women. In our first few years we plan to only target women, because most sneaker brands are very masculine-oriented so we want to carve out our niche. We want to offer sneakers that are versatile for any occasion, while being socially and environmentally responsible.

Products

In Hong Kong alone, over 125 000 tonnes of garments are discarded per year into our landfills. In fact, the fashion industry is the second largest polluter in the world behind oil, with environmental impacts across water pollution, greenhouse gasses emissions and much more. Leather, in particular, releases chemical effluents that is hazardous to the environment as well as people treating it. Thus, we have adopted an innovative technology that upcycles leather from waste (leather trimmings) with minimal environmental impact.
