Improving quality of healthcare and access to healthcare through transparency and patient empowerment.
Hong Kong's dual-track healthcare system is among the developed world's most imbalanced, opaque and unsustainable, and patients are suffering the consequences.
HospitalAdvisor is a social enterprise developed by The Zubin Foundation and Harvard Global Health Institute. It aims to alleviate these issues through providing patients with more information and greater transparency.
We do this through two approaches: 1) Rating hospitals using a Harvard-designed patient experience survey, a widely accepted proxy for quality of care; 2) An information hub that will arm patients with clear, simple and useful knowledge in order to help them get more out of their hospital visits, make informed decisions, and to reduce the strain on the public hospital system.
