Future City Summit was first curated by a group of scholars and entrepreneurs in Hong Kong, including Andre Kwok, Lawrence Yu and Peggy Tse, in 2016, with the support of Global Partnership Seed Fund from the Vice President Office of The University of Hong Kong. Since then, the Summit has been aggregating over 1,000 alumni from 50 countries across Asia and Africa. In 2018, the Summit has also established the first Emerging Future Cities Network with 12+ emerging cities and subsequent development program series “Public Private Partnership by Youth” in 5 cities in Southeast Asia.
