Passion

We started off as a travel app for travelers to eat with locals in Thailand. The only true way to experience a city is through the eyes of locals.

We hit some great milestones, but only to realize that our users weren't using our app as we intended. Locals are finding other locals to eat together. And that made up for 80% of our eat events. So we pivoted to a social eating app where people can find another person to share a meal and restaurant promotions together.

Products

Asians (esp in SEA) hate eating alone. As a shy young female expat, eating out alone is probably my worst nightmare. Food in Asia often comes in sharing portions and humans like to try a bit of everything. That makes it almost impossible to have a decent meal eating out alone.
