Writing clean code to create industry best responsive UX-led Wordpress websites will be your thing and since you'll be creating and maintaining a websites, you'll have a sound knowledge of databases and a dev-wizardry kit to boot.
You'll work with our super friendly, talented team of designers and project leads to come up with awesome website dev solutions and then bring our awesome designs to life, as you apply your code magic to page.
Since you'll be pivotal in the creation of all things web-dev, you'll enjoy planning sites out with designers and working to ensure that they get built to scope and timeline, whilst being UX led, scalable, robust and efficient. On occasion you may find yourself creating email campaign templates, but generally speaking you'll be helping us to create, maintain and optimise responsive, UX led website masterpieces!
Are you well seasoned with handling website debugging and optimisation tasks (like Wordpress updates, plugin and theme upgrades) and cleaning up previously created code to ensure sites are error-free? We'll need that... since supporting websites to keep them running optimally is key to the role too.

Job Responsibilities:
- Interpret project requirements for technical scope, consult on technical possibilities to designers for wire framing and development phases
- Style sites to match designs supplied by designers and write code to deliver on project scope (Wordpress)
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure projects are implemented soundly to scope and deliverables
- Implement APIs as needed
- Optimise sites for performance and function (speed, uptime, browser and device compatibility, Google webmaster)
- Manage and maintain sites and support code work (including HTML and CSS work for email newsletter, signatures and print files for sites as required)
- Assess new to market technology and conduct proof of concepts
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Computer Science or related discipline. Degree holder is an advantage
- 1 year+ of web programming experience
- Programming knowledge in CSS, HTML, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, JQuery and Ajax
- CMS experience: WordPress, responsive design and cross-browser compatibility - Wordpress experience is crucial to this role.
- Practical experience with solving cross-browser compatibility issues
- Passionate about front-end web development
- Language Requirements: Native written and spoken English and Cantonese
- Independent, self-disciplined, responsible, ability to problem solve, good team player
Highly Advantageous:
- Experience with multi-language, database-directory led and membership sites
- Experience with Axure RP, Toolset, WPML, Mailchimp APIs, Facebook App creation
- Experience with WHM server management
- Email newsletter template and signature creation experience
- Understanding of design and UI / UX principles
