Everyone of us is facing the problem of information overload and we are all tired of reading long texts. Data visualization comes in - the beauty of it is to transform data into simple visualizations that everyone can learn the key insights easily. However, where to find these awesome information design as a reader?
On the other hand, where to share your data visualization as a creator? The limitation of existing content sharing platforms like Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest is that they only enable image or video content but not code-based content. Meanwhile, data viz software tools are trying to build their communities but more for just professionals and creators are not allowed to share work made with other tools so it's difficult to build their portfolio on one single place.
With that, there's a gap between readers and creators in the field of data visualization.
Chartipedia is the data viz go-to-place. It's the "Wiki" where everyone of us to search data viz of any topics. It's the "Pinterest" where creators share their data art regardless of the tools used.
