Project: graph-based knowledge Micro-Service development
Objectives: orchestrate the design and implementation of the target solution, with real application to day-to-day markets activities
Client: Tier 1 European Corporate and Investment Bank
Sponsor: APAC head of Global Markets
Face-off: Global Markets Business Manager and Developers
Location: Hong Kong (first 3 months), then Hong Kong or home-base with business trips
Format: contractor, with opportunity for permanent position within Chappuis Halder & Co.
Start: ASAP, July or August 2018
Duration: 6 months, with possible extension

SCOPE OF WORK
Phase 1
▪ Define a graph-based organisation and approach with the Head of Global Markets, the Markets Business Manager, and Coders
▪ Set the adequate language, data storage organisation, key processes, automated linkage and intensity levels
▪ Present the key risks and opportunities, including scalability of the set-up to other data
▪ Deliver an architecture and capabilities applicable with the reality
Phase 2
▪ Set an implementation organisation to monitor risks, information security, skills data base
▪ Ensure the roll-out offers adaptation for additional scope
▪ Run the testing phases across data points association, correlation, including regression tests and forecasts
▪ Set up a graph-based data visualization and reporting for recommendations, based on recommendations engines.
▪ Work with the Markets Business Manager and Coders, report to the Head of Global Markets
▪ Ensure the implemented language, data storage organisation, key processes, automated linkage and intensity levels are stable and in line with reality
▪ Provide the developed organisation with validation of Go-Live readiness
KEY REQUIREMENTS
▪ At least 5-8 years of experience
▪ Strong experience in developing and orchestrating micro-services: working with API, REST technology, services management (Netflix, OSS, Consul)
▪ Deep knowledge of key graph database technology including but not limited to graph query language, graph query optimization and processing, graph data indexing, graph data storage, graph partitioning
▪ Solid technical database knowledge (Oracle, Hadoop, Teradata, data modeling) and experience optimizing SQL queries on large data
▪ Excellent risk management and information security knowledge, skills, and abilities
▪ Fluency in SAS, R, Spark, UNIX shells (bash and ksh) or Python, with experience writing scripts that are part of a production-type analytic solution
▪ In-depth knowledge and skills to use and apply descriptive and inferential statistics including probability, hypothesis testing, estimation, associations, correlation, regression analysis, and forecasting
▪ Analytic and business intelligence skills to identify meaningful patterns, analyze them, and then integrate and communicate them via data visualization and reporting techniques
▪ Experience in modeling and implementing recommendation engines
▪ Comfortable working with bank staff (IT, front office)
▪ Fluent in English, French speaking a plus
