About the speaker
Mr. Fernando Laviña Richi
Mr. Laviña Richi is the Director General of the Foreign Trade Institute (IPEX) of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain since 2015. IPEX’s mission is to provide business opportunities and facilitate the internationalization of local companies. As an international business consultant and managing director of several companies in Spain, he has earned extensive experience in many industries, developing international strategies for the companies’ expansion overseas. He is a well-known speaker and professor at many MBAs at prestigious business schools in Spain (ICADE, EOI, CECO and ISEE). He has worked with the Spanish ICEX and Camara de Madrid as business consultant and adviser. At IPEX Castilla-La Mancha, he has developed the new plan for the development and new strategic alignment of the regional tourism industry. The plan presents new opportunities to promote Castilla-La Mancha as a destination for traditional tourism and MICE recipient as well as creates new experiences for the 21st century tourist.
Ms. Charlotte Harris
Eurasian born in Hong Kong, raised in Southeast Asia and is daughter to 'Hong Kong's finest travel agent' and 'the founder of ICT4D (Information Communication Technology for Development)' so it goes to show, the desire to travel and truly immerse herself in different cultures comes naturally to her. Charlotte read International Development at university, spent one year in Mainland China and eventually returned to Hong Kong to complete a Masters degree in Anthropology. Charlotte is involved heavily in the developments of both local and global luxury travel growth and, she now works in the luxury travel industry, heading up the team at Charlotte Travel and curating tailor-made luxury itineraries for her VIP clients. In addition to sitting on the Rosewood Travel Agent Advisory Board in which she mentors students and gives career talks, Charlotte spends much of her time building relationships with hotels and other industry partners to ensure all her clients get the best and most value out of their holidays.
