Overnight success is mostly a celebrated myth. Twitter only evolved out of a failed Odeo and took considerable time to gain traction. Remember Burbn? It’s the name of the failed startup that later pivoted into what we now know as Instagram. It took Rovio over 51 games before landing success with Angry Birds. Behind these pivots and failures there are many lessons that have led to the success that later followed.
Postmortem Conference is a no-bullshit educational startup conference that draws lessons from startups. This is not going to be your regular startup “entertainment”, but one day of shared startup lessons which you can actually learn from. Hear Investors, Founders, Mentors and Lawyers, etc talk about their personal "mea culpa" moments on where they figured out they were on the wrong path. Listen to what they have learned and are now doing differently because of those personal lessons.
What to expect?
Although the health situation will only allow a smaller amount than the normal 120+ attendees, it will be a full scale event, expect a day of exciting sessions on product pivots, dealing with startup failure, co-founder troubles, life lessons from startup failure to success, the perils of zombie startups, and missed investments from our line-up of speakers. Light lunch and networking drinks are included. [For water: BYOBottle] The venue will run at 50% capacity due to COVID-19.
Why Postmortem Conference?
Postmortem has been, since 2014, the event in Hong Kong about lessons learned in startups, be it success or failure. There are valuable lessons to be drawn from our mistakes and the actions we took after them. www.postmortemconf.com
