Meet our speaker: Christine Yu
Before starting her own venture, Christine spent a large part of her career in the institutional capital markets, serving in various corporate debt sales roles for HSBC in both Hong Kong and New York. Whilst at HSBC she witnessed the rise of the Asian debt markets in G3, offshore RMB and local Asia currencies. Before her credit sales career, she worked for two startups. Now, with Lapidary, she is combining the three personal objectives she finds most relevant, interesting and sustainable: growing companies, pursuing her interest in startups and making a difference.
As the founder of Lapidary, which is an "impact investing venture" she is focused on for-profit and mission-focused companies in SoutheastAsia (Philippines, Thailand and Myanmar). Their social impact themes include women empowerment, poverty eradication, education, healthcare, environment/clean technology/renewable energy, financial inclusion, agriculture and urban renewal.
Her great work empowers and impacts women in Asia, come to hear her talk on December 4th and gain insights into what makes her invest in companies
