Designed to strengthen data protection for European Union residents regardless of where in the world their data is used, stored or processed, GDPR is expected to impact many organisations worldwide. As one of the most wide ranging pieces of legislation passed by the EU in recent years, this Regulation brings new concepts such as the 'right to be forgotten', data portability, data breach notification and accountability and leaves many of us with a lot of questions.
We invite you to join 55 the data company and W Hub at the Hive Sheung Wan as we sit down with people from the startup, corporate and legal worlds to revisit GDPR one month after it has taken effect. We will break down what has happened and what the reactions have been in Hong Kong so far.
This panel discussion will provide:
-A presentation on the scope of GDPR regulations and how they may apply to your business
-Insights on actions taken by different actors in Hong Kong
-An opportunity to ask all your GDPR-related questions
-An opportunity to network and interact with other brand owners, marketers and entrepreneurs in Hong Kong
The panel will be moderated by Alan Boydell, co-founder & Global Director, Data Insight & Analytics, 55 the data company.
A sought-after expert in data and web analytics, Boydell was instrumental in the launch of Google Analytics in Europe back in 2006. He left Google to found Keymetrics and then co-founded 55, the data company in 2009. He relocated to Hong Kong as Chief Data Advocate in 2016.
Panel speakers to be announced.
