The FTAHK and Campfire are honoured to have Paul Schulte, the founder of Schulte Research, which was set up in 2012 to research financial institutions and financial technology, to talk to us about his new book, "AI & Quantum Computing for Finance & Insurance".
Paul Schulte has spent three decades in research on financials. He has worked for all three branches of the US government, including the National Security Council (NSC) at the White House. He currently teaches in three universities, has written four books and authored hundreds of articles. His focus is technological change in banks and insurance.
What to expect
Schulte's new book offers a framework and analysis for the current technological landscape between the United States and China across the financial and insurance sectors as well as emerging technologies such as AI, Blockchain, Cloud and Data Analytics and Quantum Computing (ABCDQ). The book presents contemporary and critical views of emergent technologies. The narrative aims to help readers upgrade their technology literacy and to overcome the fear of AI posed by our lizard brain.
