Women make up 50% of the world’s population, yet everything in the world is designed for the average man. Women are being neglected in nearly all aspects of life: they are misdiagnosed, mistreated, and treated as ‘small men’. They are denied appropriate healthcare, safe working conditions, and even infrastructure for childcare.

The recent rise of the FemTech revolution and interest in the real numbers has shown that there’s still a lot to improve. Developments within the FemTech space uncovered a lot of stigmas, conscious and unconscious bias, and the hope that women will be heard and seen as they should be.

Join The DO for a hybrid panel discussion with featured global experts where we dive deep into the most burning topics around women’s health in our male-centric world.

Join The DO for a panel discussion with global experts about the most burning topics around women’s health in our male-centric world.

In a 1-hour hybrid session, we will discuss:

Why do women get misdiagnosed and poorly treated in the current healthcare system;
Stats on the prevention and treatment of women’s health conditions;
New solutions and the rise of investment funds and accelerators focused on FemTech;
Menstrual health and the stigma around it;
What companies are doing and should be doing in 2022.
For those who join in person at WLAB, there will be networking and drinks after the panel discussion (7.30-8.30pm).

Speakers:

Olivia Cotes-James, founder and CEO of LUÜNA naturals, a purpose-driven period care company proudly built in Asia by a woman-led team.

Swarnima Bhattacharya, founder of TheaCare, curator of FemmeCon- India's first women's health festival, and World Economic Forum Global Shaper.

Other speakers will be announced soon.
