Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and Data Analytics are growing exponentially, propelling innovation and transforming the world. In AI, China is moving towards becoming a global leader and holds the most AI patents. India is witnessing exciting times in AI and in its deep tech startup ecosystem. More Indian startups and tech companies are beginning to implement AI in their products and services and VC funding is growing. Nicholas W. Yang, Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be the Guest of Honor. Srikanth Velamakanni is Co-Founder, Group Chief Executive & Executive Vice-Chairman at Fractal Analytics, which is a strategic analytics partner to the most admired Fortune 500 companies globally and Esther Wong, Founding Partner of SenseTime AI Fund, which is among the world’s most valuable AI unicorns, will discuss India, Hong Kong and China’s AI and data analytics ecosystems, and explore challenges and opportunities in this fiercely competitive and rapidly changing environment.


 Nicholas W. Yang, Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Mr. Yang has been Secretary for Innovation and Technology since November 2015. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited from October 2003 to February 2010. He was Executive Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from March 2010 to February 2015. In March 2015 he was appointed as Non-official Member of the Executive Council and Advisor to the Chief Executive on Innovation and Technology. Mr. Yang is an alumnus of California Institute of Technology and Stanford University.


 Srikanth Velamakanni is Co-Founder of Fractal Analytics, India’s second largest data analytics and AI company based in India and the US. Founded in 2000, the company provides analytics services to Fortune 500 companies, along with their AI based product businesses - Qure.ai, Trial Run and Cuddle.ai. Mr. Velamakanni was named by Analytics India Magazine as one of the 10 most influential analytics leaders in India. He is a former investment banker and studied at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India.

 Esther Wong is Managing Director of SenseTime and Founding Partner of SenseTime’s AI Fund. SenseTime is among the world’s most valuable AI unicorns, focusing on computer vision and deep learning. She previously ran Equity Capital Markets at Bocom International. Ms. Wong began her career as an analyst on Wall Street with ABN Amro. Her last role in New York was Head of Sales and Trading for Cazenove Asia (acquired by JPMorgan), the first Chinese and first woman appointed that position.


 Alan Rosling is an entrepreneur and strategic advisor with a deep engagement with India. He is Chairman of Griffin Growth Partners and co-founded Kiran Energy after leaving the Tata Group, where he was the first non-Indian Executive Director of Tata Sons, charged with internationalization of the Group. Mr. Rosling served as Special Advisor to the British Prime Minister in the Policy Unit. He was educated at the University of Cambridge. (Moderator).

 Saurabh Srivastava is one of India’s leading entrepreneurs, investors and institution builders. One of India's most respected IT leaders, he is Founder of NASSCOM and Co-Founder of Indian Angel Network, the world’s largest angel investor network with over 100 portfolio companies and 470 investor members globally. Mr. Srivastava has a Master’s degree from Harvard University. (Closing Remarks)
