About the Role
A Community Associate acts as the welcoming face of the Hive and is the primary point of contact for members and visitors. Your role is to provide an unrivalled experience for our members, support space operations, plan, assist in finance and administration, as well as host a variety of community-driven events.
Goals and Objectives
- Ensure that the space looks and feels great at all times
- Create an amazing atmosphere for members and visitors alike
- Work with your Location Manager and team members to maintain 100% occupancy rate
- Drive and develop the community by hosting engaging, popular events
- Consistently update and maintain financial and administrative documents for your space
- Develop your sales, touring and networking skills
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver a first-class experience for Hive members
- Handle visitors, greet guests, and build a professional and friendly rapport with members
- Support daily operations, taking care of everything from small-scale maintenance to opening or closing the space and overall facilities management
- Assist with sales activities, by conducting ‘sales tours’ and ensuring that all potential members are well informed about our products, memberships, events, content and deals
- Build community by assisting in the organisation and implementation of all kinds of community events, from fun social events like yoga, Thursday Social and Paint & Wine to our business-oriented fireside chats, webinars and workshops
- Handle basic finance duties, like handling invoices, data-entry and assisting in weekly and monthly reports for your location
- Work with the Art Department to produce posters and any visual imagery as required
- Social media content curation, and copywriting to maintain our social media presence and promote our spaces and community of professionals

- Be exceptionally organised and well-versed in multitasking
- Have the ability to handle pressure, solve problems and think quickly when required
Experience and Requirements
- University Degree holder preferred
- 1+ years of relevant experience in customer service, events, operations, sales or related would be an advantage. Fresh graduates will be considered
- Possess strong communication and presentation skills
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be a good team player who enjoys working with people collaboratively at all levels
- Native English Speaker and fluency in Japanese (N2)+
