We are growing our team and we're now seeking an Assistant Community & Events Manager to join us!
This role will give you the opportunity to be involved in urban farming, grow the urban farming movement in the city, get first-hand experience working on a range of various urban farm projects in Hong Kong, and also be part of our journey of social entrepreneurship towards transforming our city into a greener and more edible space!
Key responsibilities:

Work closely with our clients and partners to design and implement engaging programmes to drive buzz around urban farming, and attract and involve citydwellers to get started in growing their own food.

Spearhead initiatives and events to generate interest in and promote urban farming to the wider public.

Work closely with the Education Director to develop and implement quality school programmes that are educational, unique and first-of-its-kind.

Design, implement and support our urban farming workshops and events.

Support in the marketing and promotions for the respective events as above.

Community engagement and facilitate education and learning at our urban farming projects.
We are looking for a candidate who:

Has an interest and concern for agriculture, environment, social issues, and growing your own veggies and herbs.

Has strong verbal and communication skills.

Has the ability to foster connections and collaborations among people - warm and approachable.

Has a creative spirit, and is willing to experiment with new ideas.

Strong organizational skills, and high attention to detail.

Is a self starter who has the ability to work independently.

Is able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at the same time - willing to get his/her hands dirty as necessary to move fast and get things done.

Enjoys continuous change and improvement.

Loves the outdoors and nature.

Has a good command in Chinese (Cantonese) and English (speaking & writing).

Has an Associate/University Degree and competency in MS Office.
Candidates with the following training, skills and experience will have an advantage:

Experience in farming and farm management in Hong Kong; and/or
-
Associate or University Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, or Agricultural Studies; and/or
-
1-2 years of experience in events planning and management.

Skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Final Cut Pro.
You may be required to work on weekends where necessary (off-days to be given in-lieu).
The level of appointment will commensurate with qualification and experience. More experienced candidates may be considered for the Community & Events Manager position. Relevant training will be provided.
