Description

We are looking for a Data Intern that will help us discover the hidden value of vast amounts of data with our existing startup database and help us make smarter & faster processes to deliver even better products.

What's in it for you?

You will joining the journey of creating this market’s first data driven startup media and rating system. You will have extensive exposure to startup and technology development and have flexibility to gain exposure to and interact with key market players in startup industries and corporates in Asia.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection - Suggest data that can be collected to help build predictive models

Data Quality and Integrity - Suggest and implement methods for data processing, cleaning, and verification

Machine Learning - Build recommendation and prediction systems by collaborating with the Oddup Intelligence team.

Data Analysis - Work closely with the Oddup Intelligence team to deliver consolidated, actionable data and reports to our customers.

 

Candidates should also have some of the following skills and qualifications:

Past Experience

  • Prior experience in data research and analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business. Maths/Statistics Majors/Autodidacts may also apply.

 

Language

  • Business fluency in English. Cantonese and Mandarin is not a must but a plus 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Programming knowledge and experience in Python or R is highly desirable 
  • Experience with data visualisation tools is a major plus. 
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB is a plus.
  • Understanding or willingness to learn machine learning algorithms 

 

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent business communication skills and be able to communicate with top management directly with precise messages
