We are looking for a UX Designer with a joint focus on research and design to join us, who is passionate about designing products and experiences for sustainable real-world impact on people’s mental wellness. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team with a strong drive to better augment the journey to personalised mental health support, and work closely with the CTO in executing our product strategies.
Your work will consist of:
- Research user personas and investigate user behaviour
- Help the team understand user needs, pain points, attitudes, and behaviours through thoughtful and actionable research that can inform both tactical and strategic efforts
- Conduct user research and design digital solution for users and clients, from discovery research, competitive analysis, iterating concept, rapid-prototyping, usability testing
- Participate in recruitment activities for user research
- Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
- Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
- Help define user success metrics that gauge how well user needs are being met
- Contribute to product communication copy when necessary.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Cantonese.
- Three or more years of UX design experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience designing healthcare or wellness solutions or have previous research experience.
- Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
Ability to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iteration
- Experience with conducting user research
- Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must.
- Ability to work with users to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet users needs.
- Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- A solid grasp of user-centred design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.
