Mission
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally across the entire region to understand all aspects of MoneySmart Emerging Markets. You will own, develop and lead all operational initiatives for the Emerging Market businesses. You will leverage your analytical mindset and knowledge of operational insights to develop, implement, and advise on strategic initiatives.
Reporting into the Emerging Markets General Manager, and you will have the opportunity to define your role and the impact you will have on the entire organization.This role is a senior position which acts as a supporting function to the EM GM as well as to the exco and has a high level of autononmy.
The position will be based in Indonesia.
Key Aspects of Position:
- Report on quantitative and qualitative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other key metrics across all activities
- Collaborate with country managers (Indonesia, Philippines as well as Singapore HQ) to integrate analytics into all activities
- Assume ownership of operational oversight on majority of integral business operations
- Collaborate with Product and Business Intelligence teams from HQ to design and build automated solutions for business intelligence and reporting dashboards
- Streamline and automate related excel models, sourcing data from proprietary databases
- Extensive stakeholder management between between business leaders, BOD, as well as regional heads of departments (product, tech, finance, Ops)
- Extract, analyze, manipulate, and synthesize data to measure and report on the overall business
- Perform complex ad hoc queries and analyses that combine multiple tools and data sources and types
- Identify and analyze trends, patterns, and shifts in the business, both independently and in collaboration with product managers and data analytics resources
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analysis
- Serve as a resource for the regional department in regards to analytics implementation and analysis
- Advise/provide training to internal stakeholders in the use of analytics tools, as needed
- Drive ad hoc strategic projects at MoneySmart, from advising on our content acquisition strategy to evaluating new market and product opportunities
- Partner with business leads to optimize business performance for new and existing initiatives
- Develop models, dashboards, and presentations to provide strategic and analytical insights to senior stakeholders
- Research and identify industry trends and key business drivers, translating data into actionable insights
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (business, commerce, etc)
- 4+ years of experience in an analytical role
- Good knowledge of Excel and presentations
- Comfortable manipulating large data sets and presenting complex information in an easy to understand manner
- An Excel aficionado; proficient in the creation of graphs and presentations
- Strong intellectual curiosity and analytical skills, with a knack for recognizing correlations, data trends and statistical irregularities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in presenting findings and strategic insights to a wide range of internal stakeholders
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Highly motivated/self-starter with a sense of ownership, willingness to learn, high degree of curiosity and desire to succeed
- Professional demeanor - patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor
- Leadership and communication abilities to drive ideas across an organization through influence management
- This position may require hours which exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week
- This position will also require travelling across South East Asia
- Superior financial modeling and presentation skills
- Comfort with communicating findings to senior stakeholders and executive teams as well as Board directors
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Data visualization skills highly desirable
- Experience running Biz Ops/Ops for multinational tech start-ups
- 3-4 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, and/or business operations
- Ability to drive strategic initiatives with minimal direction and little oversight on a day-to-day basis
- Experience managing complex projects and programs while demonstrating exceptional business judgement
