Background of MedEXO Robotics
We are an early stage wearable robotics company. We aim at developing public affordable, multifunctional robotics. We are consistently developing new projects to address a variety of healthcare applications designed to provide assistance to patients and elderly people as well as other industrial applications.
We are looking for a R&D Engineer to be responsible for our technology research & development. The successful candidate may receive equity on top of the basic salary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Join the innovation process through reviewing relevant patents and identifying new technologies or tools
- Participate in product design and prototyping
- Responsible for hardware testing and debugging
- Prepare technical drawings, schematics and documents for manufacturing
- Coordinate with other team members to complete and improve prototypes
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s in electrical/mechatronics or other related disciplines from local universities in Hong Kong. Master’s degree or above is a plus.
- At least one year of total experience from extracurricular activities, academic research, or professional experience
- Self-motivated and responsible
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintain persistence and patience when facing challenging problems
- Experience in custom circuit board design; familiarity with Design Spark PCB, KiCad or ORCAD is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with micro-controllers/Raspberry Pi; knowledge on FPGA is a plus
- Knowledge on IMU, flex sensors and motor controllers
- Knowledge on control systems is a plus
- Proficiency with C/C++/Java/Python is a plus
- Experience in mechanical design and 3D prototyping; familiarity with DesignSpark Mechanical, SolidEdge or Solidworks is a plus.
