The Company: Gense Technologies is a biotech startup developing state-of-the-art technology for our patented hand-gesture recognition smartwatch. The technology has a wide range of applications including sign language to voice translation for deaf and mute users, medical diagnostics, VR/AR gaming control, smartphone and smart home control.

The pay range we’re offering is HKD 20,000 – 25,000 per month with flexible working hours, performance bonus, and share options
The Position: We’re looking for an Embedded Software/ Firmware Engineer with the requirement as listed:
Responsibilities:
This role will focus on developing and programming microcontroller unit (MCU) for our patented next-generation hand gesture recognition system using electrical impedance tomography (EIT), electromyogram (EMG), and inertial measurement units (IMU). The successful applicant will work closely with the core team on the research and development of our smartwatch.
Preferred Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering
Proficient in microcontroller and microprocessor-based embedded system design
Proficient at programming in C++, Python
Conversant with Wireless (Wi-Fi, BT/LE) technologies preferred
Demonstrated firmware or electrical engineering experience from internship, work experience, coding competition or hackathons
Hands-on coding experience with peripherals such as UART, SPI, CSI-2, I2C, GPIO, USB
Team oriented individual, eager to learn and work with experienced mentors
Passionate about innovation, discovery and willing to take risks
Start Date: Immediate/ Summer 2019
