Business Development Lead - Singapore
Summary of the Position
Ampd Energy is expanding into Singapore and is seeking a Business Development Lead as our first local hire. The Ampd Enertainer–our core product–is a radically different way to power up construction sites, one which is dramatically cleaner, quieter and which delivers far greater levels of data transparency compared to existing solutions.
You will be responsible for bringing Ampd to Singapore working closely with our Hong Kong team. The remit is broad and exciting, including signing up our first customers, developing marketing plans and partners, setting up our office and establishing government relations. We are looking for an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to get their hands dirty while showing strategic acumen. You should be motivated, reliable, thorough, and excited about being among the first in the world to work with game-changing products. You will be expected to be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, and be a clear, candid, and effective communicator in both spoken and written English.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering.
- At least three years of prior experience related to business development with proven success, ideally in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong, high energy communicator who takes a consultative sales approach and prioritises action.
- Comfortable working on your own, finding creative solutions to hard problems and then communicating these clearly back to the management team.
- Comfortable presenting innovative technology products in front of both small and large audiences.
- Technologically savvy: comfortable using various online (e.g. ERP, CRM, digital marketing tools, cloud productivity suites) and digital offline (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) tools.
- Ability to pick up technical concepts quickly and be able to explain them simply to customers.
- Prior entrepreneurial experience is a bonus.
Specific duties include:
- Developing sales and marketing plans for the Singapore market
- Building, maintaining and closing a pipeline of customers and sales opportunities using your natural high energy and ability to build trust with people at all levels.
- Identifying needs, then creating and presenting proposals to address customer needs based on their specific needs.
- Developing and managing marketing partners and building relationships with the Singapore government.
- Being the face of Ampd at conferences and events; must be comfortable presenting in front of an audience.
- Collaborate with the company's engineers to ensure the product fits the needs of the Singapore market.
- Collaborate with the company’s manufacturing team to ensure production volumes and delivery schedules are aligned with market demand.
- Input and maintain our CRM database and the business development side of our ERP system.
