Summary of the Position
Ampd Energy is growing and seeking a sales-focused technical lead to develop out its application engineering function. Ampd’s Enertainer provides a new way for the construction industry to power its growth vastly reducing emissions and providing a high level of data transparency. You will be the expert in supporting the business development team in the technical pre-sales process while working closely with the engineering team to improve our product line up. The work is varied and includes leading the team who prepare technical proposals and support the business development team with technical enquiries. You will drive efficiencies by creating new tools for our team and partners to interact with customers across the world. Finally you will be the link back to the Product and Engineering teams, brainstorming on new products, collecting and analysing data from customers and working out how pitch technical concepts to customers. You won’t get bored!

You will be expected to be able to operate with a degree of autonomy, and be a clear, candid, and effective communicator in both spoken and written English. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who can balance technical and sales requirements and is excited to grow a new team. The role can be based in United Kingdom (London) or Singapore. Key Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred with business experience.
● Experienced in creating technical proposals and demonstrated ability to talk technically with customers.
● Ability to pick up technical concepts quickly and willing to take on new challenges and problems.
● Ability to simplify customer requirements to guide product development and work closely with the product team.
● Strong at calculation and handling data in excel and, ideally, with programming languages like Python.
● Management experience in a fast-growing team is a strong preference.
● Experience in a technical customer-facing role at a consultancy will be a plus.
● Demonstrated ability to scale technical and sales processes through use of digital tools will be a big plus.
● Working proficiency in English.
Specific duties include:
● Leading and developing Ampd Energy’s Application Engineering team in across multiple countries.
● Developing tools and processes to give the business development team the technical proposals and information they need to close deals.
● Working closely with the Product, Software and Engineering teams to guide product requirements in different regions and for different products and translating technical specifications into customer-facing documentation.
● Preparing data and reports for customer to understand the performance of our products.
● Collecting data from client and understand their operations, needs and pain points.
● Driving Ampd’s program for creation of carbon credits related to the Enertainer operation.
