Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated data scientist that can also own and contribute code as a data engineer. You will be a key member of the team working side-by-side with the CTO and external domain experts. Responsibilities:
- Mine the growing data repository to determine actionable insights.
- Own and enhance the data pipeline using Python and framework using Node.
- Integrate with various SQL & NoSQL databases, and external API’s.
- Own and enhance data visualisation using D3.JS and related libraries.
- Perform R&D using Python tools like Jupyter, Pandas, and Numpy.
- Configure test automation and continuous integration using Bamboo.
- Analyse, design, code, debug, test, document, deliver and support solutions.
- Support and train colleagues, installers and clients.
Required Experience:
- 3+ years professional data science experience.
- Hands on coding in Python and Node.
- Hands on usage of AWS products like EC2, S3, ELB, RDS.
- Knowledge of data storage technologies like Postgres including performance.
- Software architecture, design, development and testing.
- Working in teams and as a single contributor.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Beneficial Experience:
- Understanding of products like Airflow, Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Awareness of techniques like Machine Learning and other statistical methods.
- Version control tools like Git and request/issue tracking tools like JIRA.
- Continuous integration, deployment and automated testing.
- Written and spoken Putonghua.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.Sc. Degree in Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or similar.
- OR relevant exceptional ability.
