The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Group Jockey Club Social Innovation Centre

Established in 2015, the Social Innovation Centre (SIC) aims to encourage social innovation by the use of technology. Social problems will be addressed by innovative and sustainable business models that maximise the synergy. By engaging young people in the process of social innovation, it makes it possible to enhance their upward mobility and makes Hong Kong stay competitive.

SIC is located at Genesis, a revitalised industrial building in Wong Chuk Hang. SIC occupies nearly 5,000 square feet providing co-working space, business suites, capacity building and incubation programmes.

One-stop Services
SIC provides a pleasant working space with furniture office equipment. It also facilitates social innovators to take action to execute the business plan by providing essential support, including seed money, business mentoring and network.

A Programme for Young People
Targeted at young people aged between 18 and 35, SIC enables them not only to offer their own perspectives on how they would like to change the world but also to encourage them to co-create a venture.

Step-by-step Support
SIC adopts a stepwise approach that will inspire, incubate, interconnect and invest in the aspiring young social innovators.

Social Innovation by the Use of Technology
The advancement in technology and information lowers the start-up cost and allow more people to be their own boss. SIC sheds light on social innovation by the use of technology, like digital technology and the mobile Internet, to create social good.

Five Core Areas
SIC has 5 thematic areas of social issues to focus. They are Education, Health, Environmental Protection, Elderly and Social Inclusion.
