Paperclip launches the Validator program

Paperclip Startup Campus launched the Validator program in partnership with the Global Sources Startup Launchpad Event which is one of the largest Hardware startup events in Asia.

With the tagline ‘Immersive training for startups’, the program is designed to generate tangible outcomes for companies within a short period of time, with the aim to "fulfil the ever increasing needs for founders and investors by addressing gaps in the current startup support systems."

Facebook and Twitter join hands to enhance accuracy of news on social media

Facebook and Twitter joined a network with more than 30 news and technology companies to improve the quality of information on social media platforms. A new platform will be launched where members can verify questionable information on social media. 

Canva raises US$15M 

The online design platform, Canva, has raised US$15 million in a round led by Blackbird Ventures and Felicis Ventures, current at a $345 million valuation. The funding will be used to make Canva's tools more accessible. Founded in 2012, Canva has more than 10 million users in 179 countries and more than 100 million designs created.

GitHub launches new feature to compete with Trello

San Francisco's GitHub has launched a new feature for developers, managers and admins to help them do better project management. Users can move and drag cards from one column to another to show progress. 

GitLab secures $20M in Series B

GitLab, a code collaboration platform for developers has raised US $20 million in Series B in a round led by August Capital with the participation from Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator.
